1. What is the cost of the exam? The cost of the exam is $70/test.
2. Is the exam computerized? The exam is not yet computerized; however IC & RC is moving in that direction. It is hopeful that by 2010, the testing will be computerized.
3. Where are the exam sites? The NDBACE will determine its own test sites and use its own proctors. There is no limit to the number of test sites a board may use.
4. What number of questions are posed in each area? Please view the Candidate Guide (PLEASE LINK THIS TO THE ATTACHED 2008 AODA CANDIDATE GUIDE.pdf) for a general overview.
5. How many competency-based questions are in the exam? There are 13 questions based on a case study that is in the exam. These questions are written at a higher cognitive level, and more competency based.
6. Is the ASAM criteria covered in the exam? There are not any specific ASAM questions on the exam. This is because the exam is an international exam and there are no U.S.-centered questions as there are no questions specific to other countries.
7. What are the initial pass/fail rates? 70.87% of the candidates who tested in June passed the exam.
